Biography

Leonid
Krivitsky
(1932)
Leonid Krivitsky was born 1932 in the
city of Kirovograd (Ukraine.)
He graduated from the St. Petersburg
Tavricheskoe Art School in 1953 and in 1959 he earned his degree from The
St-Petersburg Academy of Art (studio of Prof. Serebrjany).
In 1969 he received a silver medal from
the Academy of Art. This medal allowed him to train in Italy.
For 25 years he continuously taught
painting at the art and graphic faculty in a St-Petersburg Paedagogical
Institute called * Gertsen*. Throughout all this time over 60 young artists
have finished his personal studio. Leonid is also a participant at the
All-Russian Exhibitions. He was also awarded the prestigious title *Honored
Artist of Russia*.
His paintings are hanging in museums
of the cities Nikolaev, Kirovograd (Ukraine) and Brjansk (Russia).
