Simon Lok Biography
Simon
Lok was born in Gwangzhou, China. He began his artistic tutoring at age
20 and later decided to pursue an artistic career. In 1981, he traveled
from Southeast China to the Northwest on an intensive outdoor painting
trip. Simon immigrated to the Umited States in 1983. He studied and
majored in both Fine Arts and illustration at the Art Center College of
Design , California State University-Long Beach, and the California Art
Institute. He has been working for Walt Disney Feature Animation since
1993 as a development artist. His plein-air (outdoor) painting
experiences enrich his color vocabulary which is greatly admired by his
collectors as well as his peers. Simon Lok has devoted considerable
time and energy to become a vibrant and accomplished artist of his day.
