Calvin Liang Biography Calvin Liang was born in Canton, China and completed his art education at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to the United States in 1987 and began a successful career creating visual art for the animation industry, especially "SpongeBob Squarepants" for Nickelodeon Studio. Recent museum exhibitions include: "On Location In Malibu" at The Frederick Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine University and the 93rd Annual Gold Medal Exhibition of the California Art Club at the Pasadena Museum of California Art. He is a Signature Member of the California Art Club where he garnered the First Award at the Bowers Museum in 2002. Liang is an Artist Member of Laguna Plein Air Painters and Oil Painters of America where he received the Award of Excellence in 2001 CONGRATULATION to Calvin Liang, 1th PLace Winner at the Bower Museum Plein-Air Competition with Honorable Mention. Calvin was also awarded "Best Of The Show" in The American Impressionist Society's 4th Annual National Juried Exhibition 2002. Calvin Liang is a young
